CASE STUDY

Creating an Online Company Store

THE CHALLENGE

An organization, with over 7,000 employees, wanted to create a catalog where employees and other interested parties could purchase or redeem branded company merchandise. The first challenge was assembling branded products to be accessible to all employees without a large investment, by the organization, in stocked merchandise. The second was populating the catalog with merchandise the employees would find attractive. To introduce the products, each employee would receive a set dollar amount of free merchandise, of their choice, from the catalog.

THE SOLUTION

The answer to this is two-fold. First, develop an online company store, in other words, a web-based promotional product catalog for the organization, which would be easy to use and available to all employees. Next, go lean by offering products that can be quickly procured and branded without stocking thousands of items, which if unused become a financial liability and burden to the organization.

THE OUTCOME

TKO Marketing Solutions developed an easy to use website that would be practical for the organizations more than 7,000 employees. For example, when the team members decide on the free offerings, their choice will only be a mouse-click away. Having the ability to process branded specialty products in the thousands and develop a user-friendly website for product distribution allows the organization to recognize and reward their employees. It also promoted their brand in the marketplace without investing large amounts of upfront capital.
